At Hindustan Power, adopting an energy mix to fulfill the national needs has been a shared objective. While we continue to work towards this goal, I have had the honor of representing this ideology at the world stage In my regular interactions at the World Economic Forum.
I was raised under the tutelage of a man who had more than a goal,
he had a vision. My father, who has mentored me from the very
beginning taught me to see the big picture, plan and strategize in
detail and thus be an aware and prepared risk taker. It must be
these learnings from my father which aligned with my education in
computer engineering, mathematics and computer science
, that helped me move towards developing India’s leading
integrated power generation company, Hindustan Power.
I was born in the 70s, the decade when the government of India was
involving itself in power generation and it’s bulk transmission in
a big way. While the country progressed towards industrialization,
it took more than two decades for realizing the need for
sustainable and inclusive energy generation.
When we conceptualized Hindustan Powers in 2008, the energy sector in India was going through severe distress but what kept us going as a team were the following core values that the organization has always claimed, consumed and communicated.
